Product Overview

Weeton 776A/776B is a two-component polyurethane adhesive for flexible lamination valid for various plastic films, aluminum films and aluminum foil substrates. It provides very high initial tack, excellent solvent release, perfect compatibility, good wetting, good heat resistance and good chemical resistance, and is recommended for applications requiring faster curing speed.

Directions for Use & Precautions

  • Dilute with ethyl acetate, acetone or methyl ethyl ketone with water content below 300 ppm; never use aromatic or alcoholic solvents.
  • After achieving the required solid content in 776A, stir 776B into the 776A solvent mixture.
  • Use the ready-for-use adhesive within 24 hours; retention in the machine should not exceed 2 hours.
  • In tropical conditions (above 28C, humidity above 60%), use within 2 hours.
  • Set oven temperature following the gradient principle (55-65C, 65-75C, 70-85C) to avoid residual solvents.
  • Increase lamination temperature and pressure appropriately to improve bond strength and surface finish.
  • Extend curing time when laminates are used for bag making; follow isocyanate safety regulations.
