Weeton 856A/856B is a two-component solvent-free flexible packaging laminating adhesive widely used for plastic/plastic, plastic/aluminum and other composite structures, including high-strength pharmaceutical packaging foil and aluminized inner layers. It features high peel strength, excellent surface wettability, excellent heat resistance, long pot life and no smell, and meets the requirements of high-speed lamination from 0 to 300 m/min.

Directions for Use & Precautions

  • Standard mass ratio is 100:60 (856A:856B); in high temperature and humidity reduce 856B content, and increase curing temperature and glue amount for CPP structures.
  • Set glue container, hose, metering and coating roller temperatures per the typical use parameters (35-42C seasonal).
  • Control precise tension and proper winding to prevent delamination, roll head size difference and film curl.
  • Cure at 38-45C for 18-24 h for rewinding and slitting; aluminum foil composites need 45-50C for 36-48 h.
  • When the machine is shut down over 40 minutes, clean the coating unit with a solvent/plasticizer mixture.
  • If 856B shows small lumps in cold winter, preheat in the drying room or dosing tank before use.
  • Install an efficient exhaust hood and follow isocyanate safety regulations.
