Acute intoxication

1. Inhalation of MDI vapor may cause irritation to respiratory tract and lead to headache, rhinorrhea, pharyngodynia, asthma, chest distress, dyspnea, lung function decline. Contact of high concentration vapor may cause bronchitis, bronchospasm, and pulmonary edema

2. Skin contact may cause irritation to skin, allergy and dermatitis.

3. Swallowing may cause abdominal spasm and emesis

Chronic intoxication

Long time exposure may cause permanent lung function decline, skin rash and anaphylaxis

Environment hazards: may cause water body, soil and air pollution

Fire hazard: flammable at high temperature or when exposed to naked flames.

 

Part 4 First aid measures

 

A component:

Skin contact: Take off the contaminated clothing, flush skin with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes.

Eye contact: Hold the eyes open, wash with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes and seek for the medical aid.

Inhalation: Take the person into the fresh air. If there is difficulty in breathing, seek for medical aid

Swallowing: Rinse the mouth and drink milk or egg white.

B component:

Skin contact: Take off the contaminated clothing, flush skin with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes (use soap if possible), if symptom happens, seek for the medical aid.

Eye contact: Hold the eyes open, wash with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes and seek for the medical aid

Inhalation: Take the person into the fresh air. If there is difficulty in breathing, seek for the medical aid.

Swallowing: Drink warm water and DO NOT induce the patient to vomit. If the patient is unconscious or has spasm, do not drink anything. Seek for medical aid immediately

 

Part 5 Fire precautions

 

Fire hazard: Flammable at high temperature or when exposed to naked flames.

Hazardous combustion products: Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide, oxynitride

Fire extinguishing media: Use water spray, foam, carbon dioxide and extinguishing powder

Fire-fighting method: Cool endangered containers with water spray jet. Remove the containers from fire to open place if possible.

Environment protection: Do not empty into drains/surface water/ground water without treatment

Clean-up method: Remove with liquid-absorbing material (sand, lime powder, soda ash), or dilute with plenty of water then empty into drain system. If there is a large amount of leakage, collect and dispose of contaminated material as waste according to Part 13.

 

B component:

Personal protection: Wear protective equipment (clothing, and glove). Before wearing protective clothing, do not contact leaking container and leakage. Quarantine the contaminated area.

Environment protection: Put out all the fire sources and cut off leak sources.

Clean-up method:Remove with liquid-absorbing material (sand, soil, vermiculite). If there is a large amount of leakage, collect and dispose of contaminated material as waste according to Part 13. Wash the contaminated ground with 3-8% ammonium hydroxide and 2-7% detergent.

 

Part 7 Handling and storage

 

Handling:

Ensure good ventilation at the work place.

Use explosion-proof equipment

Wear suitable protective clothing, safety glasses and gloves

Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.

Avoid contact with oxides, acid and base

Avoid skin and eye contact

Take measures to prevent the build-up of electronic charges.

Keep out of the reach of children

When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.

Storage:

Ensure that storage and workrooms are adequately ventilated
